Lunares Ignis (translated as “Lunar Fire” is a horrific monster I thought of after watching Wolfwalkers back in 2020. It takes the characters from Mega Man: Fully Charged and places them in an urban fantasy world not wholly unlike Earth.
For right now, the world revolves around Wolfwalkers, people much like werewolves but not quite the same. They possess the ability to project their souls into a wolf form while their human body sleeps. Injuries & ailments are shared between the two forms and the condition can be transferred with a bite. The ability to heal woulds and nature sets them apart from the curse-like ailment of lycanthropy.
There were 3 books planned before I abandoned the original project. Since I am starting anew, I will have to change these plans as I go.
Lunares Ignis, Book 1
High school student Aki Light moves into a small suburban community with his family after his father, Dr. Light, accepts a new job. Instead of the familiar city he's always known, he's forced to adjust to a smaller community and the nature surrounding it. As he's introduced to a whole new world, the shadows beneath the pristine forest rise to choke out the light.
Psidium, Book 2
As Aki and his family try to balance their town lives with their forest lives, a new danger creeps upon the community that threatens to shatter their world. A new pack of Wolfwalkers, dangerous and mysterious with powers never before seen in their kind. Secrets claw out of the shadows as the Light family struggles to keep their life intact.
De Nominis Umbra, Book 3
The small community of Chelbyrn has adjusted well to the existence of magic, all things considered. However, the Light family's world is about to be turned upside down when word spreads like wildfire to the rest of the world. Now, they're on the run to find a new home. However, with magic now having been discovered by humanity, other magical beings are coming out of the shadows… And they aren't very happy about it.
